This photo doesn't do justice to the winter storm that hammered Portland over the past 36 hours, but it's the best I could find. Snow turned to freezing rain yesterday afternoon, covering the six inches of accumulation with a quarter-inch layer of ice. It's been since the mid-90s that we've had a real storm or any of the white stuff, so I'm really trying to enjoy this one. May be another ten years before we see another--
