Notes on the Atrocities
Like a 100-watt radio station, broadcasting to the dozens...

What an odd week to be gone. I have been consuming news with the regularity of average Americans--that is, seeing headlines on newspapers held by unaverage ones. I am therefore aware of the gauzy sentimentality with which mainstream media has approached Reagan's death--praising him, not burying him. The seemy underbelly of the blogospheric crtique is lost to me. By the time I return to regular news consumption, you'll be on to the next thing. I miss it.

But it's supposed to be a hundred degrees today in Manhattan, so I've got bigger fish to fry. See you next week.
